Chris Knott Insurance is a successful insurance company based on the border of Sussex and Kent providing car, home, business, charity and travel insurance services.
The Challenge
The off-the-shelf application that Chris Knott Insurance purchased works in the way they want to operate their business with only one drawback - the reporting doesn't cover their accounting requirements. Chris Knott approached JIT to find out whether an integrated reporting application could be developed which was capable of not only showing data from their software, but take further data on a per customer basis and amalgamate them into an easy-to-use accounting report.
What We Did
After a few hours of analysis for our consultant to learn the ins and outs of how their software worked, the specification was written up and agreed. Two weeks later, the web based reporting suite was ready to install and demonstrate.
There are now plans to enhance the reporting suite to perform accounting calculations to increase the efficiency of the operation and it has also come with an ability that the current software doesn't come with - remote access. From anywhere with an internet connection, the information and capabilities provided by the reporting suite has been developed with the future and cloud computing in mind.
