JIT Systems have an extensive history in Application Development, after all, the entire development team have a background in software and application development. In fact, we have been developing applications for the past 15 years.

Our experience includes development of software for Shell, General Electric, Hovis and Investors in People.

We have a very structured approach to application development which has proven successful for years and enables us to in a strict, professional manner while maintaining flexibility as the project moves on.

Our Approach

Analysis - Our Analyst / Systems Architect going through every step of the requirements with you resulting in a specification document. These documents can be quite long, but are written in a way so that non-technical people can understand them. This document is then signed off by both parties before the project can move on.
Technical Design - This stage requires our Systems Architect to produce a technical specification document which outlines the exactly how every aspect of the application will work which the developers will work to . It is also used later on in the project to test against.
Development - This is the largest stage in a project, where the development team take the technical specification and create the application according to its specifications.
Technical Testing - This is performed by the developers and our testing team. The testing team consist of non-technical personnel which ensures that the system is properly tested and not tested in a softly softly approach that developers tend to do.
User Acceptance Testing - We hand the the application over to the client for testing and training. This stage usually results in a long list of tweaks which are sent back to the developers. The aim of this stage is to get the application signed off by the client.
Launch - Well, it does exactly what it says on the tin.

Most recent project

The most recent project we completed finished in May 2008 for a start up company called Nurseryone. The application was designed to manage an unknown number of children's nurseries around the country. Stringent security measures were taken for this project due to the nature of the sensitive information that the system holds.
The project took 7 months in it's entirety and several more stages to it's development are planned for the suture.

The technical requirements of this project included:
 Microsoft .NET
 SQL Server 2005
PDF, Word and Excel document generation
 Email Marketing
 Extensive calendar functions
 Automatic emailing
 Invoice & Statement runs
 Sage Integration
 Bacs payment system integration
